By an incredible combination of luck, calculation, reckless spending, and more luck, I was in Boston at the game as the Celtics completely destroyed the Lakers and won their 17th title.  I went to the game with the only Lakers fan in the whole Garden, and let me tell you, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a crowd like that.  Pure euphoria.  And rioting.  Perhaps the greatest part, other than seeing Pierce finally celebrate a championship and get the recognition he deservers, was the fact that hundreds of fans brought cigars- in honor of Red– and began lighting up, inside the Garden- as soon as the game was over.  Cheers to that.
