Eltone, that is the only way to end this. The people have to rise up, Civil Rights/Vietnam era style. This the only way the madness will end. You see, behind every statement like Harkin's are a whole bunch of piranhas in line feeding off of the system that makes Harkin say stuff like this. They are living a nice lifestyle courtesy of the taxpayer; the more they press Harkin with cash, the more they can reap even more of the gold. The only way to get rid of this is to get Harkin out of office and rise up to make the politicians afraid of you, like they were during the Vietnam era. That is the only way now.

Very well put. I must admit, as a person in a state where marijuana is lumped in with severly addictive and fatal drugs as heroin, cocaine meth. I envy all the patients who live in a Legal MMJ State where you can get your medicine and it is real medical marijuana with a 15-20 or more % THC but in California another crime has started from the legalization of MMJ and that is the high prices they continue to charge for the stuff. I mean how can they justify $40 for 1/8 ounce when it's $60 for the same amount on the black market. That's not right people are taking advantage of the conflict and confusion that exist because of state law contradicting federal law. Especially California, in Oregon it is against the law to sell MMJ for a profit keeping costs more in line and making special exceptions for people on disability and/or the poor. But as a person with a life long Diabetic Neuropathic Digestive disorder called Gastro Paresis (in greek it means paralyzed stomach) I qualify for medical marijuana to control the waves of nausea that range from mild to sever every hour of every day. But the state of Iowa thinks marijuana is just like heroin, coke and meth. I assume this is a copy of the federal version, I don't know. But in it Sen Tom Harkin (D-Ia) say's, "If you smoke marijuana you will find yourself huddled in a corner willing to sell your children for just one more puff of marijuana." What can you do with a political puppet like that but end his career by voting him out. Use your vote the right way. Peace...
